1. What software & equipment do I need for the online beat-making class? You will need a Windows/Mac computer installed with Zoom & the free version of Pro Tools(Pro Tools Intro). You will also need a MIDI controller & a pair of monitors or headphones. You may also use your own DAW (Logic, FL Studio, etc., but specific instruction may not match depending on the DAW of your choice.)
2. What MIDI controller do you recommend? A few controllers we recommend are the Nectar SE25, the Arturia MiniLab MKll or theAkai MPK Mini MK3 . As long as your keyboard triggers sound in Pro Tools then you are good to go!
3. Do I need my own equipment if I take in-person classes?No. Computer, software & equipment are all provided for you at SoundArt Technology Lab for in-person classes.
